A virus damage my external hard disk with conexion via USB and now the computer doesn`t recognize it and cannnot read the disk.
I need a software that Iet me repair the head of the hard disk and then the computer can read it or someone who tell me how I can repair it.

I just bought a new StoreJet External Hard Disk and it appears in the "Devices With Removable Storage" category and not in the "Hard Disk Drives" one. I used to have a Toshiba Hard Disk (external) and that used to appear in the Hard "Disk Drive" category on "My Computer". So is there a way to make my hard disk appear as a Hard Disk Drive.
Want to watch movies on my laptop when traveling. My laptop does not have a built in disk drive. So if I use a external hard disk drive with a usb, use less battery power than watching the movie with an external dvd drive?
Back in September (now nearly January) I bought an external hard drive from New egg, I wrote a very good review for that hard drive. However circumstances have changed and the the review was

Now instead the hard drive is pretty loud when it’s loading an application. The blue LED is getting on my nerves, there seems to be a continueing a "bad sector" problem and every time i do the "chkdsk /f or /r" it keeps getting worse from 20000KB to 26000KB and now it’s at 30000KB. Plus when I contacted the manufacture, they said they’d charge me 3000USD. I didn’t bother with newegg’s RMA cuz i didnt purchase any warranty from them and my 30days has expired. And thats just like 3 months into the hard drive. So yeah how do I edit "my own" review on Newegg and what should i do with this hard drive because i’m a little tight on budget. It is also beggining to click alot. I know the difference between a failed hard disk clicking and something else but this clicking is persistant. It’s the type of clicking when you load something. so it’s like buzz 1…2…3 buzz and so on. In the past, after 5mins of inactivity, it would just shut off. Now it never shuts off unless i turn off my computer. But over all it still performs like the day it was new data wise but physically i think this hard drive has the "flu" (i’m being sarcastic)
