I have a camcorder, and want to connect multiple hard drives to my pc to save the different videos I take.

I want to use ‘regular’ hard drives. I guess I would need some kind of case to connect multiple hard drives? Is there some kind of ‘stack’ or some such ‘thing’ for this purpose?

I am thinking about connecting 10 hard drives at the same time. I want to connect them via the USB, if possible (1st choice). Or would I need to connect the ‘stack’ directly to the motherboard?

Would this work and is it possible, and how would I do it?
I forget to mention that I meant, all the hard drives in one case.

I know you can get USB hard drive cases.

But I want the hard drives all in the SAME case/stack.

I need memory cause my computer has a 30 GB hard drive, and my ipod is 30 GB. I was wondering if it is unusual for a person to use an external hard drive for a desktop??? Are external hard drives more proned to crash or break or infected?? Also are internal hard drives difficult to install?? Or are external and internal drives the same the only difference being one is inside the computer and the other outside???

My Hitachi external hard drive recently broke and i am looking to buy a new Hard drive. I’ve been looking online and i have found a lot of Lacie hard drives. How do Lacie external hard drives compare to other brands such as Hitachi, Western Digital, and Seagate? Lacie seems to be a little cheaper than the other brands. is there a reason why? which brand is the best and why?

I have opened the case on my Dell Desktop Computer. I removed the original Hard Drive (C) and replaced it with another Hard Drive which I am attempting to access. However the system will not boot at startup with any other Hard Drive than the original. I get a message: Plug and Play Configuration Error. There must be some way to add hard drives and access them the way I did from the previous computers.

"Seagate Momentus™ Series External Mobile 2.5" and a "Seagate Barracuda™ Series External 3.5". I know the former says it’s mobile and the latter one says isn’t, but is it possible that i can take the latter external hard drive, go over to my friend’s pc and download stuff from his pc into my external hard drive via a USB connection, go back to my pc and download stuff from my external hard drive back to my hard drive on my pc via a USB conection? Can I do that with both types of external hard drives?

I’m getting one of the new aluminum macbooks – have heard that the hard drive is easily replaceable, and will be wanting to replace its 5400rpm 250gb hard drive for a 7200rpm hard drive (apple themselves don’t offer this). What types of hard drives are compatible? I obviously don’t want to buy a hard drive for it only to find it doesn’t work. Will any old notebook hard drive work? Thanks – will immediately give best answer.
